PLEASE help me. I messed something up.

Now it won't let me connect to my ftp or to my site.

here is the error message i get:
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connetion failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Like I said, I ran an ftp password recovery program that told me to change the address to localhost. Now everything is messed up and will not connect.

Can anyone help?

thanks for the reply, but i already have another ftp program for that, but i was using smart ftp, and then it got messed up.

will purchasing a license fix this for sure?

I guess I should further clarify just in case..

I use another ftp program for my commercial site, but I have a personal blog that I use smart ftp for. I was at home last night and was trying to connect through smart ftp (my other ftp program is through my business and was not available). I couldn't get the password, so I used a recovery software and now it will not let me connect to my site using smartftp OR any other ftp program and I hoped someone could tell me why.
