How to display >2000 files in a folder?

I have a folder on my website (and an equivalent one on my PC) with > 2000 files. SmartFTP refuses to display any file alphabetically after the 2000th on the remote system. Is there a way round this (apart fromre-structuring my folders, which I certainly do not want to do)?
