Greetings everyone, this is my first post in this forum.
SmartFTP works flawlessly and with the greatest of ease, I just wish it wre faster on uploads.
We have a cable Internet connection with upload speeds generally in the range 500-700 KBPS. But the upload speed when I use SmartFTP seems to be only 30-40 KBPS, and consistently so over time.
- Is there some sort of speed or bandwidth usage control in the program?
- Is this likely an ISP problem having nothing to do with SmartFTP?
- Something else?
Downloads using SmartFTP run about 10-15 times faster than uploads, slower than what Comcast "typically" provides, but plenty fast for accomplishing work.
Running XP Pro SP2 fully updated, AMD dual-core 4400+ system, 2GB RAM, 250 GB disk. Generally the system is not loaded with lots of intensive processes running at the same time.
Thanks so much!
