when i"m conected i can see only only half of the files/folder list

I get no file listings although I can add directories and upload files (although the directories disappear if I double click on the main server icon on the right hand side. I tried finding the answer here but no luck.

Please read more thoroughly what I'm writing: I said "raw directory listing", and nothing about a log. To get a raw directory listing, right-click on a folder and choose "Show Raw Listing" from the context menu.

BTW: The two logs you posted come from totally different servers. Are you saying you only see half of the files that should be there pn *both* servers?

Try to goto "Tools->Settings->Transfer" and uncheck the "Show All Files" and "Resolve Links" from the Directory Listing Options, then try again.

Thank you, that did it. When you say 'try again' though, I want to mention that I had to shut down SmartFTP entirely and then restart it - just in case someone else has the same issue I did.

I would never had guessed that I'd have to tell the program NOT to show all files in order to see them
