Limit no. of connections- how?

In order to upload files to a server, I need my ftp client to limit the maximum number of concurrent connections to 3 or lower- tech support says so. Is there a way to do this with SmartFTP? I can't seem to find this setting in any of the menus.

In the global or favorite settings, go to "Queue" and set "Max Threads per Site" to 3. Then use the queue (instead of direct mode) to transfer files.
