1. Update to the latest version. 1.5 is not supported anymore

2. Try Passive Mode <-> Active Mode.
Post both logs if you still have problems afterwards.

This is the error I get also. Anyone know why?

After speaking with my host they say that they have had no outages on their side, and that I'm likely being block on port 21 by my university.
Does this sound like a logical explanation for my connection problems?

Mine is showing port 21 also. I'm using this from my home computer. I can access other FTP programs but I would rather use SmartFTP.
