slow upload

Hi

Bizarrely when I connect using broadband, upload of even small files takes an age; it only uploads one file at a time even if I drag a group, then comes back up a folder level on remote server and displays a small red exclamation mark on the folder.

If I connect with dial up, I can drag whole groups across and it uploads at a reasonable speed.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance

Also please note I am using Netgear DG834G wireless router on broadband

My server refuses a passive connection so I've switched to active already.

Would fluctuation in signal on wireless network affect things this badly?

Yep I am having the same problem. Only had this problem since I networked the computers with a Netgear router. Does anyone have any other suggestions. I've been trying to upload a .zip file and its telling me it will take 9+ hours.
