530 errors

Hi there everyone,

I am new to ftp, been trying to use for a couple of weeks, had sorted out how to connect and had uploaded from local browser to temporary queue. Since have had had problems connecting, and also have searched the forums and the tutorials.

Any suggestions on how to upload from the temporary quque, am I just having trouble because of the problem connecting. I have been connecting before but as soon as I try uploading something it happens. My firewall is switched off also.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You (or another person using your account) already have too many open connections to that server. You are probably uploading via the queue in the background, which occupies the allowed number of connections. Limit the number of connections the queu should use for that site, or stop the queue. Then you should be able to log in again.

How do you limit the number of connections in the queue, also how do you stop the queue? It seems to be on auto connect, how do I turn this off?

I have been into seetings and fiddled around, I stopped the original problem of too many connections, but then the server kept closing the connection, now I have original problem back.

The settings might be straight forward to you, but to someone new they are confusing. Is there an easy way for it to be explained which options we should use?
