Target Machine Refused?

SmartFTP v1.1.984.17
Resolving host name elixantsupport.com...
Connecting to (elixantsupport.com) -> IP: **.**.***.** PORT: 21
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
Connection closed.

What exactly does that mean? It isnt just my elixant host, when I try and connect to the globat hsot, it says the same thing.. Any answers?

Hi Tim,

I had this problem as well when i first installed SmartFTP v2.0. It was because i didn't allow SmartFTP's connection within my firewall (Using OutPost).. Try to change or add SmartFTP on your trusted list or allowed list in your firewall. I think that should do it
