Remote has closed the connection (always after 1 hour)

Plz could some1 please help me? Everytime I want to upload somethin I get disconnected exactly after 1 hour. I get the Message "Remotehost has closed the connection". I dont know what I could try anymore

Hi Basti,

It is not a problem with the program (SmartFTP).. It is a host (Your webhosting) restriction.. I think that the hosts disconnect the connection after a period or continious uploading or connection..

I think you should contact your host and see first

and btw. a friend tried it too and for him...it was working without any problems

I had this problem for a long time and I would put the blame on smartFtp so I installed other ftps and got the same result.

Now I have moved to a relatively expensive host and I dont' have the problem.

If I am right and you have the same problem, you have 2 ways. Either upload files step by step or change your hosting.

Contact your hosting provider and tell them about the problem.. they should be able to fix it if it is really needed..
