System i
The System i (formerly known as iSeries, AS/400, and Application System/400) is a computer platform produced by IBM. System i uses two different name formats [1]. By default format 0 is enabled. If the client sends a CWD command starting with a / the server automatically switches to format 1 (IFS). To switch back to format 0 the SITE NAMEFMT 0 command must be sent.
To use the format 1 (IFS / Unix style):
- menu: Tools - Favorite - Properties
- Go to the FTP dialog
- Change the Path type to Unix
If the server does not automatically switch to format 1 when it sees a Unix style path:
- menu: Tools - Favorite - Properties
- Go to the FTP dialog
- Add the following command to the Commands after login:
SITE NAMEFMT 1
