I'm a new user of SmartFTP. I use the Global Queue feature to update my website on the server after amending the files in the local PC. However, I find that some updated files are not uploaded to server. I cannot find the answer on the forum and manual. Therefore, I had tried several experience as follows:
step:
1. setup a global queue for upload several files and folders to server
2. save the global queue in a separate .que file
3. execute the global queue to upload files and folders to server
4. amend the content of one of the local files until its file size is bigger (or smaller) than its original file size
5. open the global queue saved in step 2 to upload again.
6. check if the file (amended in step 4) is uploaded.
7. Result: it is uploaded successfully
8. Repeat step 1 to 6, but in step 4, keep the file size same as its original file size.
9. Result: it is NOT uploaded.
Conclusions:
- In Global queue of SmartFTP, if a local file is changed in content but kept with the same file size, it will not be treated as a newer version and will not be uploaded.
I hope that it is due to my wrong setting.
My setting is as follows for your information:
