Constant Crashes

I am constantly getting Crashes when I get to a folder with more the 400 or 500 Files. I am trying this program out and like the interface, is this a know problem that is being fixed or is it just me and XP ? I can not afford to "Buy" a license if it is not going to work for me. but I can not get any kind of support that enables me to truly test the program out with these crashes.
