Cannot download to desktop?

Hey. When i try to drag a file just any file to the desktop i get a folder and its blank. And when i use to have this program not the new one i could just drag to the desktop and there the file was. How can i fix this problem??

If that folder is called SFTPDROP search this forum for that term ... this has been explained many times.
